dc.description.abstract This study aimed at identifying the factors that contribute to employees’ satisfaction at Medecins d’Afrique. Three objectives were formulated: to determine factors which contribute to employee’s job satisfaction at MDA, to investigate the practices that MDA uses to satisfy its employees and to assess the level of job satisfaction among Medecins d’Afrique employees. The study employed a descriptive design as it sought to determine the employees’ satisfaction factors. A total of 63 questionnaires were administered to employees of MDA. Some of the key findings to this study showed indicated that motivation programs that have been put in place at MDA have helped in improving employee’s satisfaction. The findings of the study provided the critical success factors that could contribute to employee’s satisfaction in MDA which included providing competitive pay, according trust of employees by management to make correct decision in the work place, by giving incentives, providing training and education opportunities, provision of appropriate resources and equipment for work, recognition and reward for outstanding performance and providing good working conditions. Accordingly, the following recommendations among others were put forward. First, remuneration package and benefits of employees should be competitive to attract and retain them. This way, they will remain productively loyal and committed to the organization. Secondly, MDA should improve the working conditions which should include flexible working hours. Lastly, training and educational opportunities should be provided within the organisation. Main committees such as audit, remuneration committee should be established in the organisation. en_US
